On November 28,
1963, the school was named "John F. Kennedy" to honor those
devoted to love and justice among men, and who, as the former President
did, consider education one of the pillars of governmental action.
The present building was inaugurated on August 21, 1972, on the corner of
Juncal and Salguero. School
facilities include library, auditorium, cafeteria, book store, gym, etc.
The Lenguas
Vivas offers kindergarten, elementary, middle school and
high school education for boys and girls and, since 1984, prepares
students in English or French in intensive form (5 hours weekly in reduced
groups) from first grade to fifth year, 12 years in total.
A second
optional foreign language is added in fourth year: English, French,
Italian or Portuguese.
